Hanging Sleeves

​All quilts to be hung at the Exhibition will require a hanging sleeve. This should be either stitched or safety-pinned to the back of your quilt prior to bringing it to Colwall. If you don't want the hanging sleeve to be permanently fixed to your quilt, either tack it securely or pin it. Another option is to stitch it to the quilt with invisible thread on the top and water-soluble thread in the bobbin. 

​There are many internet sites that give tutorials on hanging sleeves, as well as YouTube videos. You may find it necessary to watch more than one video or read more than one set of instructions in order to find the explanation that works for you. Here is a small selection:

Sales table

Our Exhibition is an opportunity to sell sewing equipment, fabric and patterns that you no longer need. All items are to be in a clean saleable condition and labelled with a removable label. The label should give a description of the item, size if appropriate, and the price. Your name or initials should be written on the back of the label. A commission of 10% of the sales price is due to Malvern Quilters. If you are donating all of the proceeds of the sale of an item to Malvern Quilters, please write MQ on the back of the label. Payment for items sold will be made by the group's Treasurer at a meeting following the Exhibition.

We shall be offering Beauty and Food hampers as raffle prizes. Please give your donations to Ashley.
