Malvern Quilters stitch for charity
Malvern Quilters, both as a group and individually, support local and national charities.
Project Linus
Many of our members stitch quilts for Project Linus, a charity which provides handmade quilts and blankets for children who are sick, disabled, disadvantaged or distressed.
This is a selection of our quilts for this charity.

Quilts for Care Leavers (Q4CL)
Quilts for Care Leavers aims to provide a quilted Hug for young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who leave local authority care to live independently. Malvern Quilters made blocks and then used a Sit & Sew day to create two quilted hugs for this registered charity.
Morsbags for Quilts for Care Leavers
|
Quilts for Care Leavers offer a reusable tote bag, a modified version of the Morsbag, to care leavers who receive a quilted hug at a Q4CL event. Malvern Quilters have made these in the past, and we relaunched the initiative at an evening session in March 2026 and showed a selection of our bags at our Exhibition in April 2026..We are sending 24 bags to Q4CL at the end of April 2026 and will continue to stitch these. It is an excellent way for us to use up lightweight furnishing fabrics that are not suitable for quilts. Our Morsbag 'Pod'.
