Every two years, Malvern Quilters holds an exhibition in Colwall Village Hall. This is an opportunity to display our work and to raise funds for a local charity or good cause. This year we are supporting ‘Let’s Make a Difference’, a group that supports local people who are struggling with homelessness. You may have seen their shop ‘Amaze’ in Malvern Town Centre. This is a not-for-profit enterprise. Those seeking support are offered work in exchange for an hourly rate of pay. In this way, dignity and self-respect are fostered and new skills learned.
During the exhibition, we raffle a quilt made jointly by our members. This years is entitled ‘Carnival Celebration’ and can be seen above. Other raffle prizes include and Afternoon Tea for Two, A voucher from Andrew Slater Hairdresser, A Pamper Hamper, including a voucher from Malvern Serenity, and a Food Hamper
Karen Surrall has been elected as our President until September 2024 and she will be supported by Teresa Cuthbert as Vice- President.
If you would like to join us at one of our evenings, we normally meet on the first and third Monday of each month. Doors open at 7.10, ready for a 7.30 start. Visitors are always welcome, with a meeting fee of £5
